Wow! I am overwhelmed by the support all of you guys have shown us over the last couple of weeks. When we first started the fundraising, I hoped to get to € 500, -. That seemed like a great result. We have already surpassed that! We are now at € 573. That is just amazing. Thank you all so very, very much. It means the world to me.

I’ve been tracking most of my rides (excluding ride to school and back) and I’m having a great time being back on the bike. Sure, I am not as fit or as fast as I was, but that is fine. I feel I am getting in a good rythm. This weekend another cyclist and I happened to ride the same route for a while. We chatted and I told him about the #misCOURAGE Ride. He said that him and his wife had also had two miscarriages and he wished me all the best. I am constantly reminded about how many of us know the pain. And how good it is to share our stories.

I also had my first crash of the year. Coming up to a roundabout, I had the right of way, but an elderly man failed to see me and a collision was inevitable. Luckily I noticed quickly, and managed to hit the passenger door side on instead of going over the front of the car. There’s a few scratches on the bike, and I’ve still got a bruise on my side two weeks later, but in the end nothing serious happened, and I can continue training like before.

Which I need, because circumstances have conspired to change the date of our summer holidays this year. So instead of going at the end of august, it seems I’ll be riding up the mountain at the end of July. I can’t wait!
